Suminagashi means ink-floating; inks are applied to the surface of the water with tapered brushes. The ink floats and the water urges the spots of colour into concentric bands. You will control the floating pigments through the viscosity and surface tension of the water to create images that suggest movements in nature. Create greeting cards from your Suminagashi paper.

Regular Fee: $80 • Early Bird Fee: $70 • Materials Fee: $10

Here it is — a fun and good use for all those beautiful papers you have been collecting and saving for "that special something"! So let your imagination go wild for a few hours of crazy fun. You will go home with two finished projects — a card and a decoration — lots of new and innovative ideas to work with, and less guilt when you look at your paper collection. After this workshop, you will see your paper trails as an inventory of treasures that can be used for gifts, cards and decorations with your personal creative touch.

Regular Fee: $80 • Early Bird Fee: $70 • Materials Fee: $5
