27. Principles of Colour and Design in Handweaving (Jane Stafford)
Materials fee: $70, includes:
- Pre-made warps, which will be sent out in advance.
- All weft materials.
- Workshop booklet.
Bring to class:
- 4-shaft table loom with shuttles and bobbins.
- Instructor will send students a further list when the warps are sent out.
28. Transparency Weaving (Sharon Wickstrom)
Materials fee: $40, includes:
- A pre-made linen warp and threading instructions will be sent to each participant. Handouts, weft linen threads and additional thrums will be provided in class
Bring to Class:
- Pre-warped weaving loom – warps will be sent prior to the workshop.
- Usual weaving tools: shuttle, scissors, threading hooks.
- An assortment of coloured thrums, bits of yearn, threads, etc. to use in creating the picture you will inlay into your linen fabric.
29. Kumihimo - Beautiful Braids for Beginners (Sharon Wickstrom)
Materials Fee: $25, includes:
- Kumihimo weaving disk.
- All yarns, beads and notions required for the class projects.
- Samples.
- Handouts.
Bring to class:
- Small thread scissors.
- Large-eyed darning needle or tapestry needle.
- A very fine sewing needle.
- Spool of sewing thread.
- Small dish to hold beads.
- Frey-check.
